The women's rights hypocrisy, Part II.
Equality isn't all it's cracked up to be. True equality will only occur when women give up the privileges that they enjoy due to being women, and there are many more of these benefits than you think.
Women are not expected to carry heavy objects, whether they are capable or not. When's the last time you saw two women lift a couch and move it up or down a flight of stairs? Not even a couch, how about a computer tower? Or a TV? There's always a man involved to make this happen.
Women typically have a strong say as to what furniture and decorations are purchased in their homes. I'm in the market for buying a house, and all of my female friends, whether they want to get banged or not, are like "I want to decorate it!" Nevermind the fact that I have my own furniture, a collection of awesome posters of Kevin Smith movies that I'd like to put on the walls, and a completely badass paint scheme of black and, well, black, this isn't good enough to appease the female sex.
In the event of a fire or other emergency, it's always "women and children" first. I can understand children because their lives have a higher net present value, but this does not hold true for women. Why not men and children first? That way the men can rebuild shit and the children can get valuable job experience, and no women will be around to carry anything heavy.
No one ever forgets Mother's Day, but no one ever remembers Father's Day. Is the mother's job that more important than the father's? I'd contest that the jobs are equally crucial to a child's upbringing, but again, women get preferential treatment as parents. On top of that, all the songs out there are Dear Momma, I love my mom, momma this and momma that, she get it from her momma, and not a damn thing about fathers.
Women have whole industries designed to make them look better, and men don't have shit. 1/3 of a typical drugstore's floor space is dedicated to make-up. There are millions of kinds of shampoo and conditioner, and yeah men could use them, but we typically don't have as much hair as women, so it would be a waste to use that shit on our scalps. Women can get breast implants, but men can't get ween implants. Women can get liposuction, but it is socially unacceptable for a man to do the same.
Women can be hairdressers without being labeled as gay, and girls can be babysitters much more easily than boys could. It's not that men lack the physical or mental attributes needed for these jobs, it's just that stereotypes make it difficult for men to have these jobs.
And as far as the dating world goes, women aren't expected to pay for their dinner, pay for the movie, pay for their drinks, lift out their own chair, open their own doors, or even drive themselves during the date.
If feminists truly want equality, let them start hitting the weights so they can move shit themselves instead of asking us to. Let them leave the decorating to the man of the house. Let them wait on the Titanic while the men and children get on the boats first. Let them do something nice for Father's Day. Let them go without makeup and surgery and let their natural beauty shine. Let them be accepting of male hairdressers and babysitters. Let them pay for my dinner, my drinks, my movie, and my gas. At that point, you can come at me with your "Women make 47% less than men" bullshit.
